On May 9th of this year I wrote about the ballooning cost of light rail transit in Waterloo, Canada, from $306 million to $790 million. It seems that wasn’t the end of the story though. In an article on the front page of Section B of today’s paper entitled "Funding is the next rail transit hurdle", the plan is now estimated to cost $800 million, an increase of $2.5 million per month.
Strangely, there appears to be such article on the paper’s website.
